Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2010 Il Borro is a beautiful Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot that shines bright with a Tuscan soul. The wine was assembled by previous enologist Niccolò d'Afflitto and bottled by incoming winemaker Stefano Chioccioli. The 2010 vintage is considered a warm one in the Arezzo area of Eastern Tuscany. This expression shows a deep layer of power and concentrated heft as a result. In fact, it is starting to drink nicely now that it has enjoyed a few extra years of bottle aging. The wine leaves a long trail of black fruit, spice and cured tobacco on the palate.
