The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Grÿves Le Clos Blanc (Domaine Gagey) is more reserved than the Bressandes, unfurling in the glass with notes of honeyed citrus, praline and subtle new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and succulent, with tangy acidsâÇömalolactic fermentation was partially blockedâÇöand good length on the finish.
